One of the new generation mobile payment systems is the mobile contactless payment with NFC, and it is now commonly used. Providing close-range contact with devices that work with NFC requirements is the basis of NFC technology. There is also a feature of the NFC system, such as communicating with a computer or mobile payment methods of our bank. Besides, simple software is used. The NFC system has a very small wavelength and enables the transmission of limited volumes of data within a few centimeters apart between two devices. NFC works with a pairing code, unlike the Bluetooth in our devices. The phone has to be held closer to the device by a maximum of 4 centimeters for this feature.
On both iPhone and Android smartphones, the NFC functionality functions on the same principle. Via radio signals, NFC transfers information. This suggests that when communicating with nearby devices, the device uses radio signals. Therefore, to use the NFC features, you do not use anything from your cellular internet quota or have to look for a Wi-Fi source. The only thing that your phone’s NFC feature reduces is potentially a small portion of the power in your battery and you may need to charge more frequently if you use this feature too much.
What to do with NFC?
The NFC function can be controlled by scanning NFC sticker points. You can make payments or exchange data and documents with its NFC functionality. For smart payment systems, the NFC feature is often used. You can download the Android Pay Application if you are already using an Android smartphone. Smart payment options are becoming more and more widespread due to the isolated and no-contact lifestyle of current days. Also, you can use top-up apps with NFC to top up your credit cards and check your balance, both physically and digitally.
If you are curious about whether my smartphone is NFC-enabled, you need to know your phone’s brand and model first. Since NFC is not provided by every model of every brand.
